A new variety from Sichuan, China—<i>Paris polyphylla</i> var. <i>nullopetalina</i> (Trilliaceae)

Abstract This paper succinctly describes and then illustrates the species Paris polyphylla S mith var. nullopetalina J. L. Liu et Y. Yuan, which is a new variety of Trilliaceae found in Sichuan Province Southwestern China. It closely related to Smith panxiensis Liu, stenophylla Franch minora S. F. Wang. The distinguishing features that can be used identify this are as follows: leaf blade narrowly long, fasciate crisped-margined, but differs having leaves sessile, with petals absent, ovary tetragonal, stigma erect never curved.
